I went to the local Art Museum about two weeks ago. Just did a few quick brush sketches. This is one of them.

I saw this guy in a crummy little hick bar over the summer. The bottom picture on the left I drew to remember what he looked like. The larger picture I sketched the other day from that.

A small painting I did for fun.

The two cage fighting pictures are from a set of four, I'm working on for promotional work. Since I'm a martial artist, along with a visual one. This was a good way to show both of my loves. I'll be the first to state I have never been in a cage fight. But I am planning to be in one, hopefully in the next year. I'm not doing it to pretend that I'm some kind of bad ass or something. I'm doing it to test my skills, and to express my self through a combative sport. Oddly, the only thing I can compare it to is like having a gallery show. You work so hard on your art, then you naturally want the world to see it. Then again maybe that's just me..

Casper vs. cthulhu

Well we're about a week away from Mid-Ohio con which I will be attending. I was a bit shaky as to whether I was going to be able to go or not. But I guess luck has shined my way. I'll be sharing a table with Doug Meyer, and Mike maydak. The drawings I have above are from an email art challenge I am involved in. Their is a group of us who draw something based on whatever challenge is given to us the Sunday before. its a blast seeing how each of us approach the subject matter. This is what happens when you have a little to much x-tra paint, and a few to many blank walls.

Wow, new drawings. I bet you all started to think I went missing. Actually I was in New York on vacation. it was great to just get away, but it also feels good to get back and get back to the grind. First is just a few pics of these skull creatures that keep popping up on my pages.

This is a secret picture of a secret project I'm kind of doubting will ever happen. But hey, at least it was an excuse to draw a diver and tentacles.

Well I survived Chicago Con 2008. It was a madhouse, but I still had a lot of fun. I was lucky to have 2 hotel rooms full of good friends and fellow comic creators to enjoy it with. Those cats are the best. I think we are shooting for Columbus in October. But I'll post more on that at a later time.

Just some sketches I did while having a coffee with Lindsay at Starbucks. The top three are drawn on a napkin. The fourth is on a cookie bag. The final sketch is some ideas for future Rustbot designs.

This is the first three pages of my new Rustbots comic. This will hopefully be finished in time for this years Chicago con. I'll be sharing a small press booth there, with Mike Maydak and Paul Jurczak. Along with this, I'll be selling my other books, custom toys, and whatever else I can pile on the table. Also I should have some issues of the Pickle Press book "Scared Ya", I helped work on. So if your at the con please stop by say "hi", and get a sketch.

I got a new sketchbook this weekend. I use my sketchbooks for just random things. Just trying to get the idea out of my head before it explodes.
